Celebrating Zaniah's 4th birthday capped a great family weekend.

Thanksgiving II

Ryder could not wait to ride bikes with Zaniah. Of to the races.....they may already be a little too competitive.
Nothing better than a little Super Hero time as the three little cousins wore each other out.
Tiana, Uncle Scott and Wilson found time to sneak away for a little walk/hike.
After all that, nothing beats movie time before bed.

Thanksgiving I

Scott, Courtney, Ryder, Taggart and Wilson were fortunate to host Thanksgiving this year. To have four generations in the house was a pleasure, joy and honor. We had Grammy B fly in from New Mexico, Grandma fly in from Indiana, Aunt Cori and Cousins Tiana and Zaniah fly in from California.

Halloween

Ryder (knight) and Taggart (dragon) couldn't wait to head out for a little trick or treating fun.
We headed to the Goodson's so the boys could join Tyler and Jack.
Wow! They barely had any candy but still acted crazy.

Fall Bike Ride

The boys wanted to head out for a bike ride today to enjoy the great Fall weather....sunny and 75 degrees.
It was Ryder's (and Tagg's) first time off road. He claimed it was a mountain bike ride....I guess from his (their) perspective it may have been.
Tagg huffed and puffed and did his best to keep up. The Strider bike wore him out. After today, we doubt it will be too long before he is pedaling after his brother.
Once Tagg abandoned the bike, Mommy took him and Wilson on a hike while Ryder and Daddy rode their bikes.

Birthday Fun

Ryder was so excited to open his birthday gifts.
Well, when your birthday is so close to Halloween, why not grab your brother, dress up and head out to ride your bikes.Oh to be four and two again.

Ryder's Superhero 4th Birthday

For his 4th Birthday, Ryder wanted everyone to be Superheros. Not your normal superheros.....Specifically, everyone needs to be their own hero.
To test everyone's powers, he thought it best to go bowling.
Nothing better than a Batman Ice Cream cake after using your super powers at the bowling alley.

Pumpkin Patch

The boys wanted to head to the pumpkin patch this weekend.
As Ryder said, "to find a blue ribbon pumpkin".

Ryder really wanted a 'big boy bike' before his fourth birthday. So we decided to try it out. He has ridden his Strider bike for nearly two years now so we were confident in his ability to balance and turn. It was more a concern about pedaling and braking.Wow! He did an incredible job. He jumped right on and rode off....
No crashes or wrecks yet....
All he wants to do is ride his bike.

Family Football Day

Ryder and Taggart we so excited to wear their CU 1990 National Championship Alfred Williams jerseys to the CU vs. UGA game today.

This was Tagg's first football game (Ryder's second). He may have had his eyes closed in this photo but they were wide open when Ralphie ran on the field.

The Buffs beat the Bulldogs 29 to 27 in a thriller. Ryder and Tagg were exhausted by the end of the night.

Ryder vs. JJ or Broncos vs. Colts

JJ and Sarah had tickets to the Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts game on Sunday. Ryder took that as a challenge.Once he had his jersey, yes complete jersey, on......it was game time.
We are still trying to figure out what game Ryder was playing. We don't know who had more fun running around.

Ryder may have won his game but the Broncos did not fair as well with the Colts.

JJ Visit

JJ Mollenkopf and Sarah White visited for the weekend. We had an outstanding Saturday hike.
Ryder loved leading on the hike and having a new pal, JJ.
JJ took some great photos and did his best to wear Ryder out.

Mesa Trail Hike

A family hike on Mesa Trail in Boulder was just what we all needed and wanted.
The weather was incredible but we may have been a little ambitious.

If you think Ryder looks exhausted you should have seen Wilson.Funny how both boys got a burst of energy towards the end of the trek once we mentioned lunch.

Football fan

Yesterday, Ryder had an opportunity to watch his first football game as we (Ryder, Daddy and Papa Leveque) headed to campus to watch the University of Colorado Buffaloes host the University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors.
Ryder was not too interested in tailgating (to our dismay) and wanted to head into the stadium.....really early. Daddy and Papa both commented that it may have been the earliest they have ever been in the stadium.
We soon found out why Ryder was so interested in getting into the stadium.....His first words once we sat down were, "Where is Ralphie?" Well soon enough, Ralphie ran onto the field.
Between Ralphie running, the F-16 flyover and the view of the mountains it was an incredible experience for all of us. Even more happy now that we have season tickets for the family.

CU was victorious......31 to 13.

Soccer Fan

Yesterday, Ryder had an opportunty to watch his first soccer match as we (Ryder, Daddy and Papa Leveque) headed down to Colorado Springs to watch the Colorado College Tigers host the #3 ranked Carnegie Mellon University Tartans coached by cousin Arron Lujan.We showed early so Ryder could warm up with the team. Check out cousin/coach Lujan in the background.
Carnegie Mellon got out to an early 3-0 lead allowing Arron to appreciate his homecoming back to his alma mater.
Ryder really enjoyed spending time with Uncle Lance and Aunt Judi.
Yep, that's right, Ryder did take a moment in the middle of the match to read books with Aunt Judi. What makes it more impressive is that it was books on baseball??After the match Ryder was happy as Carnegie Mellon won 3-1 but he felt back for Colorado College as he did like the Tiger mascot. He paid tribute by giving a big tiger roar as we left.
