Confusion

No longer in Breckenridge, Tagg was still bound and determined to make it out today. He woke up and put Ryder's hat on and headed for the door. He is definitely a little confused.

Taggart wants to hit the slopes?

Taggart realized the he was being left behind daily so he decided to grab his hat and gloves to show he was ready to go.
Well, that was short lived. We don't know whether it was the cold air or popcorn that kept him warm and cozy inside. Either way, he was pretty happy.
Next year, Tagg will be ready to go.......or so he thinks.

Gondola Ride and Daddy Snowboarding

Ryder compared the gondola ride up the mountain to a rollercoaster......not that he knows.
He didn't really comprehend how and when we were getting off the gondola but trusted we knew what we were doing....
Before Daddy headed off on his board, Ryder wanted an explanation on all the runs, the difference between skis and snowboards (or skateboards as he called them) and where to find hot chocolate.

Mommy skiing

Ryder thought it would be fun to pull Daddy on the sled while we waited for Mommy to finish skiing.
Courtney had not skied in quite some time but it all came back.

Ryder sledding in Breckenridge

Ryder may not be an expert skier yet, but when it comes to sledding he is quite a superstar.
The run near the condo made for excellent sledding late in the afternoon.
Who knew sledding could be so tiring.

Ryder skiing in Breckenridge

Ryder wasn't so sure he wanted to hit the slopes but was a little jealous when everyone else did (minus Tagg of course).....so we got him out on his practice skis.
The slope was gradual so he spent more time cross country skiing.
He loved it until he fell.
Yes, he brushed himself off and got back after it but we think it may be a couple more attempts before he is ready for the slopes.

Christmas Crazy

Ryder completely lost his mind today. Let's just say that the excitement and sensory overload is not an exageration. It was a lot of fun but more like the type of fun you get after a three year old finds a bowl of M&M's.
It all started with full contact football in the house. Yes, Daddy liked it but it was unsolicited.

Don't really know how to comment on this picture. The swimming goggles or gobbles as Ryder likes to call them were a stocking stuffer that he chose to wear around the house this afternoon.

Excitement....Sensory Overload

Santa Claus was way too generous to the Hutton boys.
Both Ryder and Taggart were grateful and excited to receive such great toys and gifts.
Mommy and Daddy joined the fun by coordinating the present opening and assembling EVERYTHING. Daddy's New Year's resolution is to no longer support getting gifts that require assembly.
Merry Christmas from the Hutton family.

Christmas morning

Chef Boy 'R' Taggie.......loves his new kitchen, shopping cart and chef hat with apron.
Ryder ready to suit up for the Denver Broncos....

In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
Andy filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve.....The boys put on matching pajamas,
put out the milk and cookies for Santa, put out the carrots for the reindeers and read "The Night Before Christmas" before heading to bed.

White Christmas

Winter Wonderland!
We were fortunate get 12" of snow this week in Louisville, CO. Ryder and Taggart were so excited that they were able to sled.
We are all set for a white Christmas.

Message from Santa

To Ryder and Taggart's surprise, Santa left them both email messages on Mommy's computer. These are some of the photos from Ryder watching and listening to Santa.
Ryder was amazed and a little shocked when Santa actually called him by name, talked about where he lives and knew what he wanted for Christmas (and had a picture of him, see below).
The following link will allow you to watch/listen to Santa's message to Ryder........Still cracks me up!

Christmas weather....snow

Snow, snow, snow....

Even though it is back in the 40's this weekend, the boys really enjoyed the snow and cold weather over the last two weeks.

Christmas Tree search

Once we found the tree, we enjoyed roasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate with the Goodson's.
Tagg enjoyed a candy cane.

Christmas Tree search

We headed into the mountains to find a Christmas tree.
Tagg was bundled up and readdy for the search
Tagg and Mommy took time to enjoy the sled.

Thanksgiving Hike

Daddy seems a little confused as to how and why he had both boys in tow? "How much do they weigh?" Ryder's comment, "Daddy, where are the bears and mountain lions? I want you to carry me."
"Look mommy, that looks like a mountain lion!"

Thanksgiving Hike

No better way to burn off all the Thanksgiving food than a family hike.
Grandma Hutton did well considering the altitude.
